Don't Let the Suffering go to Waste!

Three important lessons from the parable we hear today:

  1. God can only cause good. At times, God permits evil.
  2. God waits for our sake.
  3. In the end, all will be made right.

What can we do in response to suffering?

“Don't let the suffering go to waste.” -Fr. Bob Bedard, CC

If you are suffering in some way, it means that you are qualified. It means that you have something meaningful to offer. Use this suffering and unite it with Jesus.

God doesn't watch from a distance. He has literally come into our suffering. He knows what the suffering is like. When we suffer, we have a chance to unite ourselves to the suffering of Jesus on the cross. That can do something. Our suffering can have meaning.
