Jesus himself wants to strengthen us to serve; he wants to help move us from a consumer to a contributor.
The pharisee does not pray in a way that he needs God. The tax collector is humbling himself; admitting to his sin.
The humble receive mercy.
We are natural evangelist when it comes to restaurants, activities and things we do. Interestingly, when it comes to faith we come up to a barrier.
At Saint Benedict we are going to do whatever it takes to reach those in and around our church.
We can't compete in the amazing race if we are having trouble getting started.
God is not trying to keep an archive of all of our weaknesses and failure. God can truly forgive and forget. He wants to erase the record. He longs for us to live from a place of feeling relieved...
