The Second Degree of Silence

The Second Degree of Silence - Silence in Actions

The contemplative soul who is seeking, or enjoying, union with God performs all his or her actions in a contemplative way.

The best way to practice this is in the kitchen,

  • When you make your breakfast, you can make it in a hurried, anxious, or rushed way. Or, you can make your breakfast in a peaceful, prayerful, calm, and contemplative way.

“When we do things peacefully we open our souls to the wonderful presence of God.”
