Jesus’ signs and wonders gave witness that God meant business. Jesus did not want his fathers methods to be confused with His mission. In life we see people elevated because of their position. We tend to put our leaders on a pedestal. This status is something Jesus didn’t want. The Son of man came to serve, not to be served.
There was a time in history where there was positive peer pressure to be Christian and everyone went to church... until they didn’t. This pressure is largely gone. Our times now bear the closest resemblance to the early church when Christians had to rely on the sacraments, the word of God and the Holy Spirit.
“Comfortable Christianity is quickly disappearing... but God didn’t make us for comfort, he made us for greatness!”
Our trust has to be in the Lord and as disciples we have to pick up our cross and follow Him. It’s not easy but it’s worth it. Will you join the mission?
