It is important to emphasize that this pilgrimage is a retreat, a time of prayer, a path of conversion, a deepening of our love for God and a greater awareness of His love for us through our Daily Mass and convent style lodging.
This is our journey for an ever deepening experience of the Mercy of God found in Jesus and for the whole world to know. The grace begins in Ottawa, flying overnight to Warsaw and then travelling by motor coach to visit the key Shrines and Churches of Poland related to Divine Mercy.
NIEPOKALANOW- THE SHRINE OF OUR MARY IMMACULATE AND ST. MAXIMILIAN KOLBE. We will stay over for two nights and celebrate mass at st. Maximilian chapel.
VILNIUS, LITHUANIA- Icon of Holy Mother of Mercy. One of the reasons this image of the Mother of Mercy is so important to our pilgrimage is because this Image came alive to St. Faustina, Our Lady spoke to St. Faustina and encouraged her to continue to fulfil the holy will of her Son. The Shrine of Divine Mercy is in the centre of Vilnius, it was the first place where the ORIGINAL IMAGE OF DIVINE MERCY was display. This Image of Divine Mercy was painted by Eugene Kazimirowski under the direction of St. Faustina and Bl. Fr. Sopocko. On our pilgrimage, we will VISIT THE CONVENT WHERE ST. FAUSTINA RECEIVED THE CHAPLET OF DIVINE MERCYand where Jesus explained the meaning of the Divine Mercy image. We will VISIT FR. SOPOCKO’S HOUSE AND MEET WITH THE SISTERS OF MERCIFUL JESUS who live there now.

Plock Convent- is the most important city and place in the World for the Divine Mercy. On February 22, 1931, here in Plock, 26-year-old sister Faustina had her first and most important revelation of Merciful Jesus and His wish regarding establishing of The Feast of the Divine Mercy on the first Sunday after Easter.
WARSAWwe will visit theMOTHERHOUSE OF THE SISTERS OF OUR LADY OF MERCY. It was at this Convent on August 01, 1925 that Helena (St. Faustina) was accepted by the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy. We will also visittheTOMB OF BLESSED FR. JERZY POPIEULUSZKOthe Martyr who stood against the Communist ideology and gave his life for TRUTH!
SWINICE WARECKIE- St. Faustina was born and raised. We will celebrate mass in St. Casmir church where she was baptized. GLOGOWIEC – the Kowalski home.
CZESTOCHOWA, JASNA GÓRA- OUR LADY OF CZESTOCHOWA has for centuries been the heart of pilgrimage in Poland. It is home to the Icon of the Black Madonna. We will celebrate mass at front of Our Lady image and spend a good amount of time exploring the enchanting site and history of Mary as the Queen of Poland.
KRAKOW/LAGIEWNIKI- DIVINE MERCY CENTREis where St. Faustina lived and died.Westay at the convent guest house of the Sisters of our Lady of Mercy and from there we take our day trips until we return to Ottawa. The whole complex is enchanting with Chapels, Grottos and Stations of the Cross. It offers a 24/7 Adoration Chapel in truly a Catholic village setting.
MASS WILL BE CELEBRATED DAILY. THE HOUR OF MERCY AND CHAPLET with the SISTERS AT 3:00 P.M. There will be a couple of days when all can rest and pray at the Divine Mercy Centre. VISIT THE NEW ST. JOHN PAUL II CENTREacross the stream from the Centre. There is easy access to the center of Krakow for those who wish to shop. The Sisters operate an excellent gift shop with all things religious especially Divine Mercy right on site.
