Receive the Holy Spirit.
Three Points of the Homily:
1. We need to be filled by the Holy Spirit.
2. We need the Holy Spirit to do our mission.
“It must be said that the Holy Spirit is the principal agent of evangelization: It is He who impels each individual to proclaim the gospel, and it is He who in the depths of consciences causes the word of salvation to be accepted and understood.” – Pope Paul VI
God has given us gifts through the Holy Spirit for our sanctification and the building up of the Church.
“Today, I would like to cry out to all of you gathered here in St. Peter’s Square and to all Christians: Open yourselves docilely to the gifts of the Spirit! Accept gratefully and obediently the charisms which the Spirit never ceases to bestow on us!” – St. John Paul II
3. People need to see the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our life.
Peace is not the absence of war or conflict but the presence of the Holy Spirit in our life.
