Stay Sharp

“What are we to do? We must daily surrender to the Lord. We must guard the entrance to our minds. We must have some care as to what we allow in. What are we reading? What are we looking at? What are we talking about?

“We must also listen carefully to the Church. The Lord speaks through the structures that he himself has set up. We can do no better than to have the mind of the Church.

“It is important for us to stay sharp. It is important that we do not slip and get careless, that we do not become like the people St. Paul quotes Isaiah describing: ‘The mind of this people has grown sluggish.’ (Acts 28:27) We'll never be able to keep up with the Lord if we do. Surrendering to him is the key to the renewal of our minds.” Tweet Button
